Product information
Oats have been used as a raw material in horse feed for over 2000 years and provide sport horses with particularly quickly available energy. In contrast to the starch from other types of grain, such as wheat, barley and corn, oats have the advantage that the starch present is easily digestible for horses.
Pavo uses two different types of oats in its products: white oats and black oats. Oats are suitable as animal feed even in their untreated form. 100 liters of untreated, cleaned oats weigh 50 kg. Pavo's oats are not only cleaned, but also dehulled. But why does Pavo dehull its oats? We know from research that oat husks can irritate the intestinal wall of the horse. Another advantage of dehulled oats is that the weight increases to up to 55-57 kg per 100 liters and the oats are easier to digest.
We recommend feeding 1-2 kg per day (max. 1 kg per meal).
