KERALIT STRAHL-LIQUIDE

Counteracts horn decomposition processes.

KERALIT STRAHL-LIQUIDE is a liquid, well-adhering frog care solution that is especially suitable for the problem areas of the hoof frog and the white line.

Simultaneous care and regeneration of damaged, decayed horn. Particularly for softened, foul-smelling, central and lateral frog furrows.

KERALIT STRAHL-LIQUIDE prevents horn damage by neutralizing harmful influences from the stable bedding (ammonia) and keeping away microorganisms that are significantly involved in horn decomposition. The frog horn becomes firmer after just 3-4 days of use. The frog furrows dry out.

Due to its thin consistency, the frog liquid can penetrate well and deeply into the frog grooves and fissured horn substance. Simply wetting the horn with the liquid is sufficient for it to be fully effective.

The Strahl Liquid is a thin, water-soluble combination with various tannins and salts. The function of the Strahl Liquid is based primarily on a change in the environment that the horn-decomposing germs need to carry out their metabolism. These germs prefer alkaline, warm, moist and anaerobic conditions.

By using KERALIT Strahl-Liquide, the surface of the horn becomes indigestible for these germs. By tanning the top, damaged horny layer, a changed molecular structure of the horn is achieved. The enzymatic digestion of the germs then no longer matches the protein (keratin) to be digested. In practice, the germs are deprived of their basis for life. The germ shells are also tanned, as these are also made of proteins. An encapsulation of existing germs cannot therefore take place. It does not contain copper sulfate, iodoform or antibiotics.

Instructions for use

Before use, it is important to clean the frog furrows thoroughly but dry (i.e. do not wash). It doesn't matter if the hoof is wet.

It is best to place a swab or a small cloth over a wooden tongue depressor (blunt) and wipe the frog grooves several times. Change the cloths regularly.

Then add a few drops of KERALIT STRAHL-LIQUIDE into the jet grooves using the dosing nozzle. Then carefully widen the jet grooves using the spatula so that the solution can also flow into the lowest pockets.

The treatment should be carried out daily for about 3-4 days, then at increasing intervals. For prevention, weekly treatment is generally sufficient. Good stable hygiene must be observed in all cases.

Doping advice: FN-ADMR: when used as directed on horn, no waiting period.
